What Is a Psychological Evaluation?
Psychological Assessment refers to a battery of tests administered to evaluate your intellectual, learning, emotional and/or behavioral functioning. The test battery varies depending upon the referral question(s), and can include a structured interview, assessment of intellectual capability, learning/processing measures, measures of attention and memory, academic achievement measures, projective measures, self-report surveys, parent and third party checklists, and possibly in vivo observations.
Testing sessions are typically scheduled during the morning when most people function at their best. One or two testing sessions may be scheduled, depending on the number of tests/measures being given. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding specific names of tests that will be administered during testing.
Process & What to Expect
- Initial consultation to clarify concerns and customize the assessment.
- 1-2 testing sessions (morning hours) in a supportive environment, in-office or telehealth.
- Comprehensive report with findings, diagnoses (if applicable), and personalized recommendations.
- Fees: $650–$2,800 based on complexity; flexible payments and scholarships available via Step Up for Students.

Bariatric / Surgical Evaluations
Pre-surgical psychological clearance for bariatric procedures, assessing readiness, emotional factors, and post-operative support needs.
Behavioral & Personality Assessments
Evaluations for emotional, behavioral, and personality concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, and risk assessments for disabilities.
Disability & Forensic Evaluations
Assessments for disability determinations, legal/forensic purposes, and court-ordered evaluations like DUI substance abuse.

Step 1: Intake & Customization
We begin with a confidential intake to understand your specific concerns, review records, and tailor the battery to address referral questions effectively.
Step 2: Testing Sessions
Morning sessions (1-2 days) using standardized tools in a calm environment. Available in-office or via secure telehealth for Florida residents.
Step 3: Analysis & Report
Licensed psychologists interpret results to provide a detailed, actionable report with diagnoses, accommodations, and intervention strategies.
Step 4: Feedback Session
A dedicated review meeting to discuss findings, answer questions, and plan next steps. Ongoing support available as needed.
